Candidates Applying For The Iwcf Well Intervention Courses From All Around The World

What is IWCF?

Basically, the IWCF course is designed for fulfilling the requirements for the International Well Control Forum (IWCF) Well Intervention Pressure Control Qualification. However, it is assumed that any individual that attends this course also fulfills the prerequisite requirements of this course. This amazing program is aimed at persons in pressure control critical positions. All the candidates wishing to apply for this course are required to complete the IWCF accredited training course prior to sitting assessment. Course assessment requirements:

Usually, IWCF well intervention course content is taught to the applying candidates according to the IWCF Well Intervention syllabus and then the candidates are prepared for the IWCF examinations and assessment. However, the assessment always consists of the following:

Completion Equipment (CP) Written Examination – Compulsory.

Principles & Procedures (P&P) Written Examination – Compulsory.

Wireline Equipment (WL) Written Examination – Optional.

Coiled Tubing Equipment (WL) Written Examination – Optional.

Snubbing Equipment (WL) Written Examination – Optional

Levels of IWCF:

There are three different levels of Well Intervention Pressure Control training that are available for different roles within the industry and they are:

Level 2 – Drilling and Wells Personnel Basic Training (new).

Level 3 – Available for any role expected to shut in a well (equivalent to previous Level 1).

Level 4 – Well Site Supervisor Training (equivalent to previous Level 2).

The certification standards in the programs of IWCF that are based on the pressure control knowledge that is required by the service equipment operators as well as the supervisory personnel in their jobs. All of these standards are always devised, so that all of the measurements of the candidate’s knowledge can be assessed systematically.

Certification options:

The following certification options are usually provided and are made up of all of the compulsory as well as the optional components:

Completion Operations (compulsory)

Completion Equipment (compulsory)

Coiled Tubing Operations (optional)

Wireline Operations (optional)

Snubbing Operations (optional)

Candidates must always attempt both the compulsory components with one or more optional component in the combined certification programs. However, for the sake of obtaining a combined certificate, all the candidates need to pass each of the components that they have been nominated for. However these components include:
